This early win culminated in the sale of the company in 2010. Subsequently, Matt lent his sales chops to AppSumo.com as its premier sales representative, orchestrating an impressive spike in revenue from a nascent stage to a staggering $3M/YR. This phase also marked his academic endeavor, as he pursued and accomplished his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
In his role as the Senior Vice President of Sales at StackCommerce, Matt's strategic vision was instrumental in shaping the firm into a global e-commerce powerhouse. He championed the expansion of its portfolio from a modest collection to an impressive 50K+ SKUs, driving an annual GMV of $70M. StackCommerce was acquired by the eminent PE firm, TPG, in 2020.
